The City of Bath Athletic Club was formed in 1974 based on Percy Boys Club in the centre of Bath. We outgrew the Boys Club and in 1992 moved to Beechen Cliff School. Recognising the need to be close to the athletics track and better facilities we moved to the Sports Village at Bath University on Tuesday 6th April 1999.

On 1st April 2007 the Club formed a partnership with TeamBath (Bath University) and changed our name to TeamBath A.C.

Team Bath A.C. is affiliated to the Avon Country Athletics Association, the Midlands Counties Athletic Association and Athletics UK. We cater for all aspects of athletics including track, field, cross country, fun running and road running and welcome new memebers regardless of age, ability or experience.

Newsletter

We have a highly informative weekly newsletter - The Bath Plug - which keeps members up to date with our activities. It can be picked up from the club on a Tuesday night, or you can download a copy of it by going to the Bath Plug page .

National Young Athletes
We had a depleted team on Sunday for the Cardiff meeting due to the large number of athletes competing in the South West Schools the day before. However, despite this and the blustery weather there were some very good performances and a good turnout particularly for the under 13 boys and girls. We had the following winners in the 'A' races; Alex Carter in the under 15 Boys 1500M in a time of 4:33.1, Alex Dudridge under 15 boys 800M in 2:22.4, Jack Bryers under 15 boys Shot in 8.62, Afeni Bonnick under 13 girls 75m in 10.6, 150m in 20.8 and Long Jump in 4.06, Tuesday Jeffries under 13 girls High Jump in 1.3, Clare Dyer under 13 girls 70m hurdles in 12.9 (who also tied the long jump in 4.06), Loren Bleaken under 15 girls 1500m in 4:51.1 (a grade 1 performance), Annie Ingram under 15 girls 800m in 2:32.4, Rhianna Andrews under 15 girls 75m hurdles in 13.6, Elise Gauntlett under 15 girls pole vault in 2.7 (a new PB by 30cm), Tess Brunton under 17 women high jump in 1.45, Lauren Gale under 17 women pole vault in 3.1 and finally the under 15 girls 4x100 relay team in 54.3. In addition to this there were many good second places and 'B' string winners.

Pin Fantastic Team Bath performances in Welsh Castles Relay

Team Bath athletes did us proud with 40 fantastic individual performances and two very well placed teams after a great weekend in the Welsh countryside. Ollie and Rueben Bower both won their legs, and Laura Parsonage and Holly Rush were crowned Queens of the Mountains after impressive wins on very tough stages. Apparently Buckingham won something too. Full details in tomorrow's Plug (er, probably). Huge congratulations to everyone involved, and many thanks to the organisers. If anyone wants to send me some photos, I'll put them on the website.

Pin Brilliant performances to win NYAL match on home ground.

There were some brilliant performances at Bath on Sunday in the Club's host match in the NYAL. The club won the match by a huge margin and had some superb performances, notably by Abi Davies and Afeni Bonnick. Full details in the reports page.
