Loren earns England selection

Posted by teambath On January - 20 - 2012 Comments Off

Loren Bleaken has gained selection to represent England at the Celtic Cup at the University of Wales in Cardiff on 29 January.

Loren is to take part in the Medley Relay Leg (600m).

This is a great achievement for Loren and her coach Adrian Clover, and is a reward for Loren’s consistent displays of outstanding performances in 2011.

Along with a very successful XC season, Loren had a very successful track season, where she ranked 4th for the 300m in the U17W age group (and 9th overall).

Her 800m time was enough to put her 2nd overall in the U17W rankings and 33rd overall which is an incredible achievement.

Team Bath wishes Loren, Adrian and the rest of the England team all the best at the Celtic Cup.

The Avon Athletics Network is offering a potential of up to 300 hours (£5k) of work to the right applicant(s).

The work would involve delivery on the Network’s Run England targets.

Primarily:

  • · Numbers of runners signed up to Run England
  • · Numbers of groups registered with Run England
  • · Number of new groups and leaders supported and registered

Working hours would be entirely flexible.

Ideally would suit someone:

  • · With knowledge of the Avon clubs and race scene
  • · Passionate about recreational running and getting new runners into the sport
  • · With a LiRF (Leader in Running Fitness qualification) or coaching qualification and experience of leading groups

There is potential for the work to be shared between two or more people. And the work could be shared out based on target areas (eg. Bath area where we have a lot of interest for starting new groups), or based on applicant strengths, eg club & race scene knowledge or getting new runners into the sport.

We are looking for the work to start as soon as possible, therefore please could interested individuals contact Tim Snowdon onTimothy.Snowdon@uwe.ac.uk by Friday 27th January.

If you are interested in this work and would like to know more about what’s involved please contact either Tim Snowdon (Network Coordinator) or
