Winter Routes Start Next Week – Make Sure You Can Be Seen…

This week sees the last of the summer runs, and we will be finishing in near darkness. Please remember to start wearing high-vis clothing so that you can be SEEN in the dark. We sell vests at the club for £5, so there is no excuse. Group leaders are within there rights to refuse to take runners in their group if they are not suitably attired.

Help Needed…

Team Bath AC really needs some extra help to keep on top of all the jobs that enable us to run, jump and throw. If you can help please respond…

1. Kit control. Team bath AC needs someone to sell kit to new members (and old) on club nights. Recompense i.e. a proportion of sales will be negotiated. This will involve sitting near to the registration desk on a club night with a selection of kit and either selling directly or taking orders to be distributed from the desk in the following week.

2. Race organisers. Sue and Ray Brigden are stepping down after doing a sterling job of organising the Royal Victoria Park 4 mile race. Held annually in November over a distance of 4 miles within the park this is one of the key events for the club that we would like to see continue and grow. If you would like to take on this event with club support please let Dave Coales or a committee member know.

An enquiry has also been made as to whether Team Bath would host a Gloucester League Cross Country Race this winter. Again if you are interested please contact Dave Coales or a committee member.

3. Young athlete social secretary. We are aware that the young athletes of the club are vital to its continued success. To that end if there is a young Team Bath AC club member who has some good ideas as to how they could generate interest and team spirit in the younger members then we want to hear from them. Someone with a journalistic bent would probably fit the bill but the committee is keen to hear ideas and hope someone comes forward to take this role on.
