The RunningBath 5k Timetrial is held on the first Tuesday every month. The first event was held on 1st October 2003 and last month was the 151st race. It is intended to provide a timetrial for Team Bath AC members. Those intending to compete in the 5k gather outside the University of Bath Sports Training Village around 7pm and are encouraged to run a lap of the course as a warm-up and because there are no marshals to direct the runners. The start is in the East Car Park. Two laps of the course finishing in a small road opposite the STV. All finishers are given a disc indicating their finish position. This should be given to a person just inside the STV. Results are compiled on the night and available just inside the STV door. Results are also available on the club website teambathac.org and the club magazine Bath Plug. A league table is compiled using the 6 best times during the calendar year. Runners must finish at least 6 time trials in the year. Any questions should be addressed to Ray Brigden email@example.com or phone 01761 432 426. A total of 666 runners have completed at least one time trial. 16 have completed at least 50 and 3 of those at least 100. (At 25 April 2016) Ray Brigden is on 129, Dave Gunstone 125 and Malcolm Treby 111. Thanks to all who help organise the event. In particular longstanding regulars Johnathan Burnside (results), Stuart James and Tim Woodman (time-keepers), Gordon Hill (numbers), Mike Nichols (numbers and signs) and Andy Reid (recently joined the team and helps with signs and traffic control). Last but not least a massive vote of thanks to RunningBath who have sponsored us for many years providing prizes for most improved, record setters and winners of categories in the League.
