Club Nights

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm, about 90 of us meet at the Sports Training Village, University of Bath. It is recommended that newcomers arrive 6.40 latest on their first night to allow time for them to be introduced to the Club.

Track and Field
Coaching is on the track available for most of the events.

Road and Cross Country

Newcomers are welcomed and introduced to someone who is of about the same standard.

Runners divide into training groups based on ability. Some train on the excellent Tartan track, others go out on the roads or the country (light permitting).

There is a special group for beginners.

Each training group has at least one leader. As at June 2006 the following groups operate.

1. Beginners
2. 5 miles @ 9 minute guide pace
3. 5 miles @ sub 9 minute guide pace
4 8 miles @ 9 minute guide pace
5. 8 miles @ 8 minute guide pace
6. 8 miles @ 7.30 minute guide pace
7. 8 miles @ 7 minute guide pace
8. 8 miles @ 6.30 minute guide pace
9. Speed/hills session – all abilities. The majority of speed sessions take place on the track and consist of interval type sessions. There are normally at least three groups cartering for different abilities.

Distances and pace are only a guide. Group leaders may change accordingly to needs of the group.

On the first Tuesday of every month we hold a 5K time trial.
