Welcome to the senior’s training section. Here you should find all you need to know, whether you are aspire to make the Olympic team or simply to enjoy a first run with a group of like minded people.
The club enters athletes and teams into all forms of athletics. Track and Field, road running, cross country, race walking and fell. Coaching in all disciplines is available to all club members. Please see the coaches section for the names of the clubs coaches.

Training – general
The main training nights are Tuesday and Thursday evening from the University of Bath Sports Training Village. However, individual coaches organise other training sessions and road runners meet regularly for training runs most nights of the week and at weekends. Please see the coaches pages for individual coaches details and more information about when they coach.
Training – endurance runners
- Tuesday night track, hill or fast endurance sessions led by Martin Rush
- Thursday night longer mid pace club run or long end repetitions set by Martin Rush
- Saturday and Sunday group runs
- The focus of these groups is
- Spring and autumn Half Marathon and Marathon events
- National Road Relays 6 stage and 12 stage
- National Championships
- Winter Gwent and Gloucester Cross Country Leagues
- Summer Avon Track and Field League
